Blogging 2.0........ 2.0

You may notice(or not) that it has been a long time since I last made an entry on this blog. Heres my explanation for that. Basically, it turns out you can't post Flash on here (which is rather annoying when you are trying to make a blog about your work and your work happens to be Flash based) so when I tried to upload progress of my Music Box it wasn't happening. Instead I just left blogging behind because I was wasting a lot of time faffing around trying to upload to WordPress and failing. Once I had completed my Music box I tried again to find a blog that would support flash. Alas, to no avail. I created a WordPress online blog which also does not support flash.

So here we are now. Back on blogger and Blog 2.0.

Tomorrow I shall post a link to my Music box and pop up an analysis of it.

Blogging 2.0

Hello all and welcome to the first installment of my second blog (or Blog 2.0). I've spent a lot of time messing around with getting a WordPress blog together (because it looks a bit more customisable and professional) but that doesn't seem to be happening at the moment so i will stick with this nice easy blogger blog for now.

So, what have i been doing this past week and a bit? Well first thing's first, this blog. I used the creation of this blog to assist me in nailing down my key interests that influence me and my focus. This then lead me to create the below map of my interests. (As we were asked to do by Alan)


I also began work on my latest flash piece which is based on the idea of a music box. Some examples of these can be seen below.








From some of these sources I produced the following design of a music box to be made in flash. It also offered me some interesting learning ideas with the inclusion of webcam for the mirror and moving elements.
